Rita and Pat Antonelli Get Hitched

It's been a bit since my last post and what better way to get back in the "blog" saddle again then with Rita and Pat's Engagement and Wedding photos?

This couple is near and dear to me since I worked with the Bride Rita at an old job where we had a blast together.  I felt so honored when she called me up to be the one to capture their day.

I have to say I was a little nervous, due to her being a friend.  For those of you who know what I am talking about with any kind of business relationship with a close friend.  It is a little nerve racking, let alone on their biggest day! (I do hope to be there for their next big event, dare I say newborn?)

You can definitely see the love Rita and Pat share when they are together.  They truly have a love story that melted my heart.  Chivalry is not dead, I say.

Take a few moments to see their story unfold, between the engagement session, where we had a great time downtown and their incredible Wedding day at the World Market Center with the gorgeous yellow color scheme.

I have a confession, I love cars! Yes, I absolutely love cars! Especially older 50's and 60's cars and Trucks. Fast cars, and to my surprise, RAT RODS!  Whaaaaat? Balloons and Dry Lake Bed

Not going to lie, it's been a minute and with this pandemic, it's been a long minute.  4 months.  4 months of not being able to pick up the camera to have a living subject, however that changed last weekend when a friend (non-client) agreed to come out to do a photo shoot at the Dry Lake Bed near Boulder City.  I was more than excited, as not being able to create or photograph has been torture. Being laid off from my full-time job was a huge blow, as I know many Americans out there are facing the same situation; however reflecting, it has made me want to do photography full-time, so this particular photo shoot was especially therapeutic and just reminded me how much I miss creating. Vegas Balloon Twister was/is the ultimate first subject back, as we collaborated a concept of her balloon making expertise with a few smoke bombs on the Dry Lake Bed.  With this session, she made a balloon dress, custom made (and can custom make one for you) that she wanted to show off her amazing

Hello again to any out there. The past few months have been busy, busy, and more busy with Weddings, parties and well you name it and I couldn't quite get to blog. So, this past weekend I rounded up the last of my Weddings with the exception of one Reception which will be in December and also the great "Breakfast with Santa" hosted by the Moms Club of Buckingham. A fun great Charity I've had the honor of doing 3 years in a row now. Truly fun to see all the kids smiling up or um, crying up at Santa... ;) I've also just recently completed a CD to give to the Charity I volunteered to photograph on September 22, 2007, called Operation First Response. St. Andrews, the church I got married at threw a great fund raiser and silent auction for this great cause which helps our wounded heroes who come home and are financially in need. http://www.operationfirstresponse.org/ There were all kinds of fun activities with face painting to dunk tank to military vehicles.
